About Us#
MidSouth Derby and Ales started in 2019 by a group of scout dads and former scouts who wanted to keep building and racing pinewood derby cars — and not have to pretend our kids built them.
We host 6 regular-season races plus a championship at local Memphis breweries throughout the year. We operate a classic, wooden, 4-lane track with modern electronics that measure race times and calculate scale-based MPH.
Whether you’re a seasoned builder or picking up a block of wood for the first time, everyone is welcome. Grab a beer, build a car, and come race with us.
